A swiveling mixture of classic, adjustable sized practicality and a daring, contemporary wing-legged design. The reclaimed teak used to hand build the Torrey Counter Stool seat is originating from bridges, other buildings and homes throughout India, most dating back to the colonial era, and was salvaged prior to demolition of the structure. Of the salvaging process, nails or bolts are removed from the naturally durable wood, plus in some large gaps are patched with smaller wood pieces. Knotholes, small indentations and cracks are expected and don't compromise the piece's structural integrity, but rather add character to the design. Due to the hand built construction process, slight variations that improve the piece's character should be expected.
